Shapers of Society presents social campaign to help the victims of Hurricane Maria.
American. Made in Puerto Rico.

October 3, 2017, San Juan, Puerto RicoShapers of Society, a brand created by local design group CultureCreate, has joined forces with Re:Create Group a local production company to provide help for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

In the aftermath of Hurricane María, Puerto Rico is working hard in its recovery, but it can’t do it alone. Just as Texas and Florida needed help to recover, Puerto Rico is in need of aid equivalent to the size of the catastrophe. The urgency of the aid is further complicated by the fact that almost half of the U.S. population doesn't know that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens and if they knew they would be more willing to support aid. Using this insight based on a recent study published in the New York Times, we have developed the campaign with a simple message American. Made in Puerto Rico.

“We aim to shape society through design, and to use this power to move the national conversation and bring focus to issues that affect millions of Americans.”
- Jampi Miró, co-founder of CultureCreate

Shapers of Society as a platform looks to engage with artists, designers and communicators to effectively create awareness about current social issues through the power of design. All profits from the American. Made in Puerto Rico. Campaign and the SOS Puerto Rico Campaign will be donated to the Unidos Por Puerto Rico fund, a movement created by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló.

“It’s up to communicators, artists, media outlets and fellow Americans to keep the issues of under represented citizens alive beyond the 24 hour news cycle.”
- Raúl Cosculluela, co-founder of CultureCreate

We encourage everyone to visit, join our cause and together help the rebuilding of Puerto Rico.
